Power Rankings Week 7

🏈 NFL Power Rankings: Week 7

October 14, 2025‱6 min read

Lions

1) Detroit Lions (+0)

Despite their first slip-up since Week 1, the Lions look like the strongest team in football with an offensive line and run game that travels. Their secondary is going to be a makeshift unit for a few weeks until some starters return from injury.

Chiefs

2) Kansas City Chiefs (+2)

Vintage Patrick Mahomes is dicing teams up and Rashee Rice is set to debut in Week 7. If the Chiefs can get their defense on track, they’ll be headed towards another AFC West title.

Eagles

3) Philadelphia Eagles (-1)

Still mired in a malaise after their Super Bowl run, the Eagles could get right with a pair of wins before resetting over a Week 9 bye. First things first, they need to fix their predictable play-calling.

Packers

4) Green Bay Packers (+1)

The Packers haven’t covered any spread (-21.5 below the numbers) since their Week 2 whooping of Washington led us to anoint them as NFC contenders. They've also dealt with several short-term injuries on offense.

Bills

5) Buffalo Bills (-2)

Early in the season, the Bills defense can’t get stops and Josh Allen has committed a few turnovers by pressing to chase points. That should correct when the weather gets colder.

Colts

6) Indianapolis Colts (+0)

Jonathan Taylor leads the league’s highest scoring offense (32.3 PPG) and has odds of +200 or shorter to win Offensive Player of the Year. The Colts defense is struggling, leading to some fantastic scripts for offenses in their games.

Rams

7) Los Angeles Rams (+0)

Hopefully Puka Nacua (foot) will only miss the Rams Week 7 game in London before returning after their bye week. Jared Verse and company are dominating at the point of attack.

Buccaneers

8) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2)

Down his top three receivers, his workhorse running back, and several linemen, Baker Mayfield just continued to create magic and the MVP candidate earned his first victory formation finish this year.

Seahawks

9) Seattle Seahawks (+2)

Even though the Seahawks can’t run the ball worth a lick, Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba are still burning defenses off play-action. Seattle’s defense bounced back in Week 6 despite a cluster of injuries.

Broncos

10) Denver Broncos (-1)

Denver has the best defense in the NFL and it isn’t particularly close. Nik Bonnito and company are feasting on quarterbacks with Pat Surtain and the secondary locking up.

Commanders

11) Washington Commanders (-3)

Jayden Daniels is having a bit of a sophomore slump as he deals with a knee sprain. Washington’s secondary has given up too many big plays during a 3-3 start.

Falcons

12) Atlanta Falcons (+4)

We dropped Atlanta from No. 12 to No. 24 in our rankings after a 30-0 loss at Carolina. Two big wins later, they’re back at the 12th spot with Bijan Robinson and Drake London dragging Michael Penix Jr. to success.

Patriots

13) New England Patriots (+2)

Drake Maye was nearly perfect in the second half to beat Josh Allen and the Bills. Mike Vrabel continues to stick with Rhamondre Stevenson in key situations despite his rampant ball security problems.

Jaguars

14) Jacksonville Jaguars (-2)

The Jaguars look a bit fraudulent at 4-2 after failing to move the ball effectively at home against an injured Seahawks defense.

Texans

15) Houston Texans (-2)

Houston’s offense has only looked good in matchups with the Titans (who fired their coach) and Baltimore’s backups. We’ll see how C.J. Stroud and company perform at Seattle in primetime.

Steelers

16) Pittsburgh Steelers (+1)

Pittsburgh’s schedule is extremely backloaded, but they get another cupcake matchup on Thursday night against the Bengals to showcase their improvement at the point of attack.

Bears

17) Chicago Bears (+2)

Coming out of their bye, the Bears defense looked like a top 10 unit at Washington. Caleb Williams continued to look shaky, but he did enough to score another 25-24 win.

49ers

18) San Francisco 49ers (-4)

Losing Fred Warner (ankle) is a death knell for the Niners defense. They’re now looking like a shootout team with George Kittle and other receivers returning soon.

Chargers

19) Los Angeles Chargers (+2)

There are still clusters of injuries on the offensive line and at the skill positions for the Chargers. At least they’re home for two games to make it a bit easier on Justin Herbert.

Cowboys

20) Dallas Cowboys (+0)

Dak Prescott is playing out of his mind and the Cowboys defense can’t stop anybody. This is your weekly update on the sad state of affairs in Dallas.

Cardinals

21) Arizona Cardinals (+1)

Give us a larger sample size and it might not be a hot take anymore to say Jacoby Brissett is an upgrade for this offense. Arizona’s defense is just fine and Kyler Murray needs to take notes on how to play complementary football.

Vikings

22) Minnesota Vikings (-4)

The Vikings are likely to stick with Carson Wentz for now after the veteran led a game-winning drive in London. They've struggled in the trenches this year.

Ravens

23) Baltimore Ravens (+0)

Limping into their bye week at 1-5, the Ravens are still getting relatively short odds (+185) to catch the Steelers and win the AFC North. Lamar Jackson (hamstring) could lead them on a run.

Giants

24) New York Giants (+3)

Jaxson Dart looks like the real deal and the Giants defensive personnel is good enough to fix some of the strange issues that plagued that unit earlier this season.

Panthers

25) Carolina Panthers (+3)

The Panthers have won four straight home games and 6 of their last 9 in Carolina. They’re 8-1 ATS in those games and are 4-2 ATS overall this season.

Raiders

26) Las Vegas Raiders (-1)

The Raiders finally got on track at home with Ashton Jeanty serving as a workhorse in a physical victory over the hapless Titans.

Dolphins

27) Miami Dolphins (+2)

Just a few plays away from what would've been a key win, the Dolphins are headed towards a lost season with Tua Tagovailoa trying to rally his teammates and Mike McDaniel showing no public signs of leadership.

Saints

28) New Orleans Saints (-2)

While they’ve played well in their home games to open the season, the Saints will play 5 of their next 7 on the road. Getting Taysom Hill and Kendre Miller more involved in the run game will help in those spots.

Browns

29) Cleveland Browns (-5)

Dillon Gabriel is a clear upgrade for the Browns and their defense is going to give Aaron Rodgers problems in Week 6.

Bengals

30) Cincinnati Bengals (+0)

It took a few quarters, but Joe Flacco managed to breathe some life into Cincy’s dormant offense. His steady presence is big news for Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase.

Jets

31) New York Jets (+0)

Justin Fields turned in the second-worst performance by EPA of the season while taking 9 sacks and completing just 7 passes against Denver’s ferocious defense.

Titans

32) Tennessee Titans (+0)

After their crazy comeback in Arizona, the Titans went right back to being a doormat with no offensive firepower whatsoever. Mike McCoy succeeds Brian Callahan as interim coach.
