Everyone is out for the 49ers WR core, including Ricky Pearsall, Jauan Jennings, and even Jordan Watkins, leaving basically D-Rob, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Kendrick "stone hands" Bourne as the 49ers receivers on the outside. Robinson missed the first 3 games of the season but he wasn't hurt, just serving a suspension. He got his feet wet last week behind Jennings and Pearsall and only saw about 27% of the snaps but that number should increase to about 70%+ in this one. With the negative game script in our favor, let's take a small flier on the D Rob ladder play as well.
Jake Tonges 30+ Rec Yds (+128 FD)
Playable to +100
Tonges has been a reliable backup to the injured George Kittle the last few weeks, including a nice 3-58 receiving line with a TD last week. Granted, Brock Purdy (OUT) is much better about throwing to his TEs than Mac Jones, but this is too low with all 3 of the top WRs out for SF (Pearsall, Jennings, Watkins, and Aiyuk). He's running 60-70% of the routes already and should see an uptick in a negative game script with so many 49ers injuries.
Kyren Williams O 67.5 Rush Yds (-114 FD)
Playable to 74.5 Rush Yds
Sean McVay loves to run the ball, but he really loves to run vs Kyle Shannahan. Last season in neutral situations vs SF, LA ran the ball more than 65% of the time. Kyren Williams was the workhorse for both of those games, racking up 24 and 29 rush attempts that led to 89 and 108 rushing yards respectively. The SF defense looks especially weak in the run game right now, ranking 16th in Rush EPA despite playing some very weak rush offenses (SEA - 27th / ARI 17th in rush EPA). SwishLand projections love him on Thursday for 18 attempts / 78 rush yards. I agree.
Tutu Atwell 15+ Rec Yds (+144 DK | .5u)
Tutu Atwell 30+ Rec Yds (+307 DK | .3u)
We're running with the SwishLand Intel on this one. McVay was quoted as saying he wants to get Atwell more involved and both Swish (aka Travis) and myself believe him, especially because we're so unimpressed by Jordan Whittington, who has been stealing Tutu's slot snaps for some unknown reason that has to change. This is just an upside play on Tutu because if he's catching a ball, it's most likely going to be a reception at least 10-15 yards down the field.
